Pleasant Oak Main (POM) Replacement Feasibility Study and Design Services
Team Members: Joe Domenichelli and Sara Miller Rogers
Role: Project Manager, Project Engineer
Treated Water Storage at start of POM
Project Description: Provided engineering analysis to determine the feasibility of replacing over 5 miles of existing 30-inch Techite treated water pipeline. The existing Techite pipeline is extremely brittle and has resulted in numerous breaks in the line costing the district significant money to repair damages. Challenges include keeping the existing pipeline on-line during construction, keeping construction a minimum of 15 feet from the existing pipeline to avoid breaking the line and the high pressures within the system. The pipeline is located in mountainous terrain with static pressure of over 300 psi. Analysis included a cost estimate and alternative route analysis. D&A is currently assisting the District with predesign services.

Hayer Dam Removal, Restoration and Raw Water Lift Station
Team Members: Joe Domenichelli and Tony Barela
Role: Project Manager, Project Engineer and Lead Designer
Project Description: As part of a dam removal and stream restoration project D&A has designed a stream diversion and submersible package lift station to convey raw water to local users. The package lift station includes two 700 gpm submersible pumps and a prefabricated concrete sump. D&A provided design of an infiltration gallery structure to provide diversion from Dry Creek while allowing removal of the existing dilapidated Hayer Dam flash board structure. Included design of a rock weir fish ladder to provide safe fish passage.
